This is the Rothko in the SFMOMA (No. 14, 1960). I spent many hours with my butt on that ottoman. I cried often. I cut class and went straight there. Contemplating, absorbing, looking into the colorĀ fieldsĀ for something greater. It was my church. This will always be my favorite painting. Not because it is the best painting, but for me personally, this is the most painting.
